A HOUSE CONCERT is a private, intimate, fun performance held in a home. These are some of my favorite types of shows, because they provide a “listening room” environment where songwriting and storytelling can shine. They are generally solo and acoustic, though might include another songwriter for some variety.

The host provides a beautiful space (living room, screened porch, or the like), enthusiasm for hosting, access to their circle of friends to invite, and sometimes drinks and snacks (or this may be done potluck or BYOB style).

The host and the performer work together to tailor the exact time frame, type of promotion, level of formality, ticketing options, and other bells and whistles… the sky’s the limit!

I love giving house concerts at which the artist splits the proceeds with a social change effort or community organization of the host’s choosing. This gets lots of great momentum happening!
